To schedule an appointment, contact us on 02 9650 4968.
To save time waiting, you can download your patient information sheet HERE and our disclosure of personal health/medical information HERE, enabling you to complete your paperwork in advance. Bring your completed forms with you on the day of your appointment, along with any imaging and reports that are relevant to your condition.
As Dr Thomson is a specialist, you will need to obtain a referral from your GP and bring this with you to your first consultation. Failure to do this will result in no rebate for you from Medicare.
At our Practice we realise that time is valuable, not only for you but for us as well. We normally confirm appointments via SMS or email at least a day before, however it is your responsibility to make note of your appointment date and time and to arrive on time. We ask that you arrive 10 mins prior to your first appointment to facilitate paperwork. Due to our tight schedule and to be fair to other patients who are on time, we will reschedule your appointment if you are more than 5 minutes late.
If you need to cancel an appointment or change the time, we do understand, however we ask that you contact us at least 24hrs prior to your appointment time. Please call us on 02 9650 4968 during office hours. Full Charges will apply if you are booked for a new patient consultation, but fail to attend without prior notice.
We do the utmost to respect your time and minimise your wait, but due to the medical nature of our practice, certain procedures may take longer than anticipated and Dr Thomson may run late. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience, but cannot guarantee that you will be seen at your scheduled time.
This practice is committed to providing the highest quality of care to all patients. The length of a consultation will vary depending on the complexity of the presenting problem and each patient’s needs. This will determine the fee charged for consultations. The fee takes into account time spent preparing for the consultation, the consultation itself, instituting the management plan, communicating with other health professionals and practice overheads. The Medicare Schedule of Fees in no way takes these factors into account. Our fee structure has been determined by carefully taking all factors into account. Full payment at the time of consultation is expected.
You can expect to pay $175 for an initial, standard consultation, and will receive a rebate of $67.20 from Medicare. Further standard consultations are $90, with a $33.75 rebate from Medicare.
Please take the time to download and read our Fee Policy HERE and our Privacy Policy HERE. These policies must be read and signed prior to your initial consultation.
