Breast cancer is the uncontrolled growth of cells in the breast. Breast tumours can be benign (not harmful to surrounding tissue) or malignant (can invade and destroy nearby tissue).
How Can It Be Treated?
Treatment is dependent on the size and stage of the breast cancer. The various treatment options include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and hormonal therapy.
what are your Recovery outcomes
Non-invasive and early stage breast cancers have a better prognosis than late stage cancers. Cancer that has not yet spread beyond the breast tissue to the lymph nodes or other parts of the body has a better recovery outcome.
What Do I Do Next?
If you belong to the high-risk group or have noticed a lump in your breast, you should visit your doctor or a breast cancer specialist as soon as possible to rule out breast cancer.
